어머님의 하늘
가속된 생존물결에 지쳐
고독한 정원을 찾아
보이지 않는 깊은 나의 내부
그 안으로 더듬어 들면
거기, 활짝 열린
어머님의 하늘
먼 미소로
어머님이 계시다
새해다
새로운 계속으로 다시 시작해야지
그걸 만들어 가야지
네게 준 나의 목숨만큼
그 약속만큼
견디어 내야지
지쳐도 지쳐도
그곳에서 다시 솟아올라야지
하시는 말씀
어머님은 무궁한 거리
먼 휴식이다
내가 어느 날 지쳐서, 홀로
고독한 정원을 찾아, 깊이
보이지 않는 나의 안으로 들어가면
거기 무궁한 어머님의 하늘.

MOTHER'S SKY
Fatigued by the speed
Of the waves of life,
I sought out a solitary garden
And groped within the unseen depths of self.
Suddenly I found my mother's sky thrown open.
Mother was there, smiling a distant smile.
"It's a new year,
Time to begin again,
Creating as you go,
As much as the life I've given you,
As much as that promise,
Enduring,
However fatigued,
Rising again in your place."
Mother's words
Cross the infinite divide,
Distant rest.
A day when in fatigue
I sought out a solitary garden
And groped within the unseen
Depths of self, I found
The infinity of my mother's sky.
